Managing notifications to memboGo users
When you configure an automated email, memboGo allows you to specify a target audience—the people who will receive the email. Target audiences vary depending on the application, but there are two general categories: your contacts (participants, members and donors) and memboGo administrators (platform users). You can create a notification to administrators, for example, when there is a new member or registration to an event.
Copying an administrator on emails sent to a member, participant or donorWhen you configure your email target audience, you can copy administrators on the email. Three options are available to you:
COPY ALL ACCOUNT ADMINISTRATORS WITH AN ADMINISTRATOR NATIVE ROLEThe memboGo platform allows you to specify users with all user rights, called “users.” Selecting this option will copy all account administrators on the email. For more information about roles, read this article.
In the Take-Off and Flight plans, notifications are sent to all users of the memboGo account.
COPY SPECIFIC ADMINISTRATORSWhen there are multiple administrators, you can specify which administrators should be copied on the email.
COPY ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATED WITH A GROUP
The Group function allows you specify a group of contacts (members, participants or donors) or activities (membership types, events categories) based on a theme of your choice. You can use this function to create a custom user group.
Selecting this function copies only the administrators concerned by the communication.

COPY THE ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATED WITH GROUPS IN THE MEMBERSHIP TYPEAs mentioned above, you can associate groups with specific elements, such as membership types. When you select this option, administrators in the same group as the membership type will automatically be copied on the email.
This feature is available starting with the Orbit plan.
Sending an email to administrators onlyIf you don’t want to copy an administrator on an email sent to an external contact, but rather create an email that is sent directly to the administrator, simply uncheck the corresponding box. In the screen capture above, we must simply uncheck the “Members” option.
Sending an email to a specific personThis function allows you to send an email, as a copy or a single email, to an external person who is not a memboGo user. For example, a renewal notification can be sent to a volunteer or external partner.
This feature is available in the Orbit plan.
